Nicole Williams
Nicole Williams is a dance teaching artist dedicated to pedagogy that fosters discovery through embodied storytelling. A Detroit native, her movement practice is deeply informed by her early years in West African and Afro-Cuban traditions, as well as the cultural influences of her 1990s upbringing. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance from Western Michigan University and a Master’s in Teaching Artistry from Wayne State University. Nicole’s research and creative practice utilize the movement and philosophies of Dunham Technique as a vehicle for deep exploration. Entering her sixth year on the faculty at Northfield Mount Hermon School, Nicole focuses on developing rich, interdisciplinary experiences for her learning communities.
