Suggested donation for classes is $5.00 to $10.00, but all are invited to give what they can.

IDTC financial philosophy

The Institute for Dunham Technique Certification is dedicated to the legacy of Katherine Dunham and to the dissemination of the Dunham Technique. This is our purpose and our lifeblood. In alignment with Ms. Dunham's philosophies, it is also part of our mission to keep the prices of our classes and our certification process as accessible as possible while still maintaining the integrity of our organization. We are primarily a volunteer organization; this volunteerism arises from our passion for this legacy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we began offering online classes on a sliding scale so that every dancing body could have a safe haven. Although the intensive is a set price per class, we continue to offer donation-based classes throughout the year with the trust that those who are able to contribute extra will do so. At this time on the planet, our intertwined destinies are undeniable. For the long term sustainability and viability of the Dunham Legacy, we need the financial support of those who are able to offer it. We encourage you to give generously if you can. Not a penny goes wasted.
